It has been a packed few months of film screenings for Hostile, as the country recognises the 75th anniversary of the arrival of the HMT Empire Windrush.

In a continuation of these celebrations, on Wednesday 28th July, the film screened in partnership with Newham Council. It was shown at Stratford Youth Zone, and was followed by a Q&A with Director Sonita Gale, hosted by Priscilla Igwe, Director of the Black Film Collective.

Those in the audience shared moving insights about their experiences, and a sign language interpreter, from BSL organisation Interpreters of Colour, was there to ensure the event was as accessible as possible.
