On Sunday 24th April Hostile screened at Phoenix Cinema in East Finchley, followed by a Q&A with director Sonita Gale. It was a heartfelt Q&A, with one audience member sharing their lived experiences of the Windrush Scandal and was brought to tears watching the film.

The team are very moved that the film is encouraging people to open up about their experiences, and we hope that we can help continue to inspire collective action to improve the lives of people from migrant backgrounds in this country.

Hostile is now going on an education tour in universities, colleges and schools. This part of our outreach is to expand the public’s understanding of the history and effect of immigration policies in this country.

We are also now trying to raise funds, so that we can gift the film to 80+ refugee and asylum organisations.

Please do get in touch if you would like to hear more.
