Director Sonita Gale was recently interviewed by AWITA London about her documentary Hostile, where she discusses the role of art in telling stories that are both personal and political.

AWITA is The Association of Women in the Arts, a non-profit networking group that aims to advance the careers of women in the visual arts.

Earlier this year, AWITA invited Sonita to an evening in celebration of International Women’s Day hosted by the Chancellor of the Exchequer at No. 11 Downing Street.

We wanted to say thank you to the team at AWITA for the interview, and highlighting the work done by female documentary filmmakers.
