Join us this Wednesday 8th December at 6pm for a special online screening of Hostile and Q&A at the London Migration Film Festival.

Hostile is a feature-length documentary focusing on the UK’s complicated relationship with its migrant communities. The film reveals the impact of the evolving ‘hostile environment’  – a term used by the UK government in 2012 to illustrate the atmosphere the government wanted to create for migrants in the country, with the intention of provoking migrants to leave the country of their own accord.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Sonita Gale, Writer, Producer and Director of Hostile, and experts on the UK’s ‘hostile environment’ policies.

‘With the aim of portraying the diversity and humanity of migration, our film selection reflects the many forms in which migration takes place.’

We look forward to contributing to vital conversations about migrants rights in the UK and championing creative migrant voices.
