To mark the 3-year anniversary of Hostile’s release, and the end of our Impact Campaign, a 10-minute companion short film was released in January 2026 and is now available on YouTube, alongside the full feature Hostile, which is free to watch on both our website and YouTube.
Created for online audiences, social sharing, and campaign use, the short film bridges the original documentary with current political and global events, maintaining relevance and momentum. It connects the UK’s hostile environment to wider global hostilities, examining successive governments, the Rwanda deportation scheme, and far-right protests in London. The film also situates these developments alongside renewed ICE raids in the US, the war in Ukraine, and the devastation in Gaza.
