Hostile has been nominated for the ‘Best Documentary’ Award at this year’s British Urban Film Festival.

The film has been nominated alongside Buddleia – The Unchained Story by dir. Tracy Kiryango, Fenom dir. By Kayla Johnson and Black Daddy: The Movie by dir. Damon Jamal Taylor.

Festival director Justin Chinyere said: “The films that have been nominated are full of flavour from many diverse cultures which tell stories we all want to see, reshaping how we see the world for many years to come.”

Hostile will be screen at the Rich Mix on Sunday Nov 27th at 5.45pm as part of the festival, at an event which include a Q&A with director Sonita Gale.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony at Rich Mix on December 2nd, at the end of the festival. Tickets to the festival are available here.
