Hostile screened to an intergenerational and diverse audience in Hull, including volunteers, care-workers, social workers, NHS staff, students and academics.
The screening was followed by an engaging Q&A, discussing the current political landscape (timely with today’s elections) and how relevant Hostile is with current acts of Parliament such as The Nationality and Borders Bill. The Q&A also reflected on the participants and where they are now, and director Sonita Gale delved into her own family history and why this story still has relevance today. A big thank you to the team at Hull Independent Cinema.
