On Friday, October 14th, Hostile screened at the Festival des Libertés in Brussels, which included a Q&A with director Sonita Gale hosted by Gabor Tverdota from the non-profit organisation Bruxelles-Laïque. It played to a sold out audience of 240 people, including climate activists, lawyers, students, and members of the general public.
The Festival des Libertés lived up to its description as a “gathering of human rights defenders, thought-leaders, lovers of resistance, brewers of diversity and inventors of possibilities.”
In other news, yesterday Hostile also screened at the Red Carpet Human Rights Festival in Palestine, and another at the New Generations Independent Indian Film Festival in Frankfurt on Sunday, October 16th. In the coming weeks, the film will also have its second screening at DOCtober in the US, and will be a part of the Naples Human Rights Film Festival in Italy.
