In 2024, we received our second and final round of funding from the Ben & Jerry’s Foundation, enabling us to use Hostile as a tool for change one final time through a focused second phase of our impact campaign.

OUR PHASE 2 GOALS

GET HOSTILE ON CURRICULUMS

Documentary film brings a human perspective to the study of migration that textbooks and academic papers alone cannot. Our goal is to see more young people learning about migration and its historical roots, including the legacy of the British Empire, through lived experience and storytelling.

MAKE HOSTILE FREE ONLINE

We aim to remove barriers to access by making Hostile freely available, ensuring these stories can reach the widest possible audience.

FREE EDUCATIONAL SCREENINGS

By encouraging screenings in schools and universities, we seek to spark informed discussion about immigration policy and explore how these policies shape the communities students live in.

CREATE A NEW SHORT FILM

We set out to produce a short film revisiting the themes of Hostile, examining policy developments since the film’s release and the ongoing global impact of the hostile environment.

SCREEN HOSTILE IN PARLIAMENT

To screen Hostile in Parliament again in 2026, challenging the new government and confronting the rise of the Reform Party, while reigniting debate on the human consequences of increasingly restrictive immigration policies.
