This week is Refugee Week 2022, a UK-wide festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.

The theme of Refugee Week this year is ‘healing’ and Hostile is being screened at the National Maritime Museum to explore this theme. The need for healing is evident throughout Hostile, as the film seeks to demonstrate how damaging living in a hostile environment can be for migrants in the UK.

The screening at the National Maritime Museum is taking place in the Voyagers Gallery at 11.30am and is free for the public to access. This is a particularly important opportunity for the public to engage in the stories told in Hostile and to think about how they can engage in collective healing in response to the Hostile Environment.

This is one of five screenings taking place to celebrate Refugee Week 2022 – read about the full programme here.

We look forward to continuing our legal and educational tour this summer. For more information read here.
