“The most salient thing out there right now” – Nitin Sawhney
Tuesday 15th March: Hostile will screen at the British Film Institute (BFI) Southbank in NFT1. Due to popular demand more tickets have been added – book here.
As Jon Snow has been recalled to Channel 4 to present and report for a major new documentary, he is no longer able to host the conversation. However we are so delighted that Nitin Sawhney, whose music can be heard throughout the film, and who is also one of the executive producers of Hostile, will now host.
Hostile is screening as part of ‘The Camera Is Ours: Britain’s Women Documentary Makers’ – a season of films which looks at the influence of female filmmakers on documentary filmmaking from the 1930s until now, looking at pioneers of the genre, and the contemporary documentary filmmaking scene.
